Borrowing from my Boy: Plaid and Stripes

I love to take inspiration from my boyfriend's outfits all the time, but what if I actually went into his closet and wore his clothes?! He is 6'5" and I am pretty tall myself at 6'0". You are probably thinking as was I, "These clothes are going to be WAY to big for me!" What if I could show you that, with a few little tweaks to his clothing items, you too could look fashionable, cute and right on trend in his clothes. This week I borrowed my favourite plaid and striped button up shirts from my man's closet and I can't wait to show you how I wore them:

The Plaid Shirt

This is one of my favourite plaid shirts that my boyfriend owns. I tweaked the flannel just a little bit by cuffing the sleeves once so they weren't too long. I wore it open with a tucked in tank so you can still see my figure, which is very important. You don't want to get lost in his clothes! The Striped Shirt

This striped shirt underwent the biggest transformation from looking like a boy's shirt to actually flattering my body. To help my boyfriend's button up fit better, I made a couple of easy adjustments: 1.) I tucked it into my high waisted jeans which instantly gave me a better shape. With the fabric being lighter, it does not look too bulky around my waist. 2.) I rolled the sleeves up to my elbows which took care of the extra length and width in the arms, creating a better fit.
